Job Description

As the Assistant Accounting Controller, you will support the objectives of the Accounting department while assisting operating departments with forecasting, budget, labor and inventory controls, analysis, auditing as well as operational responsibilities for the units you are supporting. This position will support a mix of lodging, food and beverage, and recreational activities. This position is based in Zephyr Cove, NV and requires some travel to Wyoming and Tahoe properties.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists Controllers with Month-End processes and may back-fill as needed

• Reconciles credit card charges with bank statements

• Maintains vault cash availability and replenishes when needed, disperses banks when needed

• Create and manage Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs)

• Daily posting of supplier invoices

• Daily posting of sales entries

• Collaborates closely with Controllers and operations leaders to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting

• Handles supplier setup process

• Manages and disperses daily revenue and labor reports for operations leadership

• Reconciles supplier statements

• Assists in monthly and annual reporting to clients

• Collaborates closely with Controllers and Client regarding reporting, expenses and capital expenditures

• Maintains logs to ensure internal audit procedures are followed

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 year minimum experience required

• Proven experience in supplier payments and supplier invoice processing essential

• Proven experience in supplier reconciliations

• Have a good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications

• Previous property experience an advantage but not crucial

• Will be able to demonstrate good planning and organizational skills
