Job Summary:

  • Raytheon, an RTX Company, is currently seeking a Field Test Engineer for the Coyote C-UAS program. In this role you will be responsible for supporting operation and maintenance activities of Coyote UAS weapon platform.

  • This position is based in Tucson, AZ and reports to leadership based in McKinney, TX.

  • Not restricted to the Tucson regional area. Periodic travel will be expected to test sites and Yuma, AZ, China Lake, CA, St Louis, MO, Dugway, UT Huntsville, AL, WSMR, NM, Ft Bliss, Texas.

  • Frequent participation in offsite customer locations is required.

  • Travel expectations may occur with little to no notice, maximum flexibility required. This may entail short-term business trips to OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Perform Coyote assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Assist in planning, perform data analysis, and support system integration and testing.

  • Assist engineering with Depot Level Support and other various Depot activities.

  • Receive technical guidance and tasking, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

  • Work and report daily to test lead.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Existing SECRET security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

  • 2 years’ experience in the repair of military UAS systems.

  • Experience in the military working with Depot Support maintenance experience on electronics.

  • Experienced and familiar with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance, and test.

  • Experience with UAS documented training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of UAS system operations and maintenance.

  • Must possess excellent technical writing, oral communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Must be a self-starter and the ability to align priorities appropriately and work.

  • Graduate of US military UAS technical school.

  • Experience in military environment, graduate of US military UAS or Aviation technical school (e.g. 15E – Rq-7 Repairer, 15L - Armament/Electrical/Avionics Repair Supervisor, 15N - Avionic Mechanic, 15F - Aircraft Electrician, 15Y - AH-64 Armament/Electrical/Avionics Systems Repairer), 15P - Aviation Operations Specialist MOS, & 15J - Armament/Electrical/Avionics Systems Repairer.

  • COLTS Logistics Database Certification or experience.

  • Experience with military generators.

  • Experience with tactical HVAC systems.

  • Knowledge of military protocol.

  • Past military experience highly desirable.

    Education:

    Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
