Description

Peter Danielson with Robert Half is on the lookout for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to in Troutdale, Oregon. The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger tasks.

Responsibilities:

· AP, Fixed Assets will be responsible for a variety of duties including managing AP processes, assisting with month-end close, expense analysis, budget preparation, and capital project analysis

· Ensures the accuracy and timely entry of AP invoices

· Manages and updates AP policies to reflect current process and/or changes

· Verifies proper AP approval policies are being followed and tracks any deviations

· Prepares weekly check run

· Reviews and approves employee expense reports in Concur

· Prepares month-end close activities including account reconciliations, calculating journal entries for accruals and prepaids, bank reconciliations, petty cash, and review other accountants’ work

Requirements

Qualifications

· Experience with Accounts Payable, receivable, software, and controls

· Ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external relationships

· Understanding of fundamental accounting principles

· Understanding of manufacturing environment

· Proficiency in Excel and MS Word

· Ability to produce detailed and accurate deliverables

· Experience working in mid-tier ERP software

· Four-year college/university degree and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· GAAP: 2 years (Required)
