St Cloud School District 742 Kitchen Helper -- Float position in St. Cloud, Minnesota

A kitchen float staff works a slightly variable work schedule, where needed at multiple school sites. TYPE OF POSITION: M-F, typical hours: 9am - 1pm Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Nutritional Services, First Cook, Building Principals SUPERVISION: None QUALIFICATIONS: Required 1-3 years' work-related experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Bilingual Knowledge of customer service principles Basic cashiering skills POSITION SUMMARY: The Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties, such as the preparation and serving of breakfast and/or lunch to students and staff, dishwashing, general cashiering and cleaning. SALARY: $16.01/hr - $16.88/hr (dependent on qualifications and experience) ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Preparation of food as directed by head cooks Set up serving lines Assist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment and entire serving area, including washing dishes with power washer Keep service area and food dispensers cleaned and stocked Serve food to students and staff Compiles food and supply orders Receives money for cash sales in ala-cart line Count/record the quantity of food sold on daily and weekly sheets Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: Light Work: lifting up to 25 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions All Employees of Saint Cloud School District 742 are responsible to support District goals, to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations of staff, students and parents and to model and promote a welcoming working and learning environment.
