Our partnership with Brands is a key part of Nordstrom’s differentiation and the way we curate a relevant and compelling shopping experience for our customers. Supplier Operations works directly with suppliers, merchants, and our distribution and fulfillment center teams to ensure that we receive that compelling product with as much efficiency, speed, and accuracy as possible. The Collaboration team cultivates collaboration by building positive relationships with Brands and cross-functional stakeholders to capture, drive and deliver operational efficiencies. Operational efficiencies span Supplier Operations responsibilities (EDI, purchase order accuracy, floor-ready shipping compliance) as well as cross-functional operational partners (such as merchandise operations, dropship and transportation) to provide a cohesive, comprehensive Operations engagement model for our Brands.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Collaboration team – a dynamic team of program managers responsible for the Operations Brand engagement model, including industry benchmark, cross-functional stakeholder alignment, data-driven performance management, and segmented solutions to drive a high level of customer service at scale. This leader will empower the team to drive high engagement, transform the Operations Brand engagement model, partner with down pyramid cross-functional leaders, communicate to audiences in varied functions and levels, simplify the complex to solve business problems and drive business results, and establish success metrics and track progress toward objectives.

This role sits on the Supplier Operations Team in Inventory Operations and reports to the Sr Director, Supplier Operations.

A Day in the Life...

  • Empower Supplier Collaboration team to deliver against objectives of increasing speed to customer and reducing operational expense through internal and external collaboration.

  • Partner with the Supplier Operations leadership team to drive team goals and performance KPIs focused on critical JWN growth areas and strategic initiatives.

  • Prioritize team projects, structure, and operating model to support overall goals and performance.

  • Measure and track team progress and communicate success.

  • Partner with Merchandising leadership to create transparency and shared accountability to end-to-end profit impacts related to product flow and sourcing strategies.

  • Build relationships with Brands, including strategic partnerships, escalated engagements, segmented collaborations, and supplier capability assessments across Operations functions.

  • Direct the framework for Collaboration team projects and support complex, cross-functional projects – assign clear action owners, establish target completion dates, anticipate project risks, proactively establish risk mitigations and contingency plans, and communicate status updates.

  • Lead with curiosity and with continuous improvement tools and methods, such as voice of the customer, root cause analysis, current and future state process mapping, solution development/ evaluation, and risk/ benefit analysis.

  • Seeks to understand different perspectives, cultures, and diverse experiences to foster collaboration in a highly dynamic, fast-paced organization.

  • Coach and develop the Collaboration team to build a high-performing team and drive engagement.

You will have developed and deployed an Operations Brand engagement model that is benchmarked to industry, aligned with key stakeholders across the organization, and delivering a high level of customer service. You have built relationships with key Brands and internal stakeholders promoting collaboration, innovation, and a cross-functional approach to solving business problems and driving business results. You have an energized, engaged team driving operational wins in partnership with merchandising, supply chain, and our Brands.

You Own this if You Have...

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in inventory, supply chain, or related business or operations function.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing senior internal business and functional leaders.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve results.

  • Proven track record of effectively managing supplier relationships and ability to build solid partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization to achieve objectives.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, make data-driven decisions, and deliver complex information clearly and simply to drive actions across diverse audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to drive change and innovation within the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $90,000 - $175,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
