Intel AI Framework Architect in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

We are looking for Lead AI SW Architects to join the TSP team to lead the definition and architecture of early-stage customer product validation in close partnership with Product Management and Engineering. The initial focus for this role will be in enabling the Trust AI Service. Intel is developing software products to support secure AI workloads on the edge. As the Lead AI SW Architect for our Trusted AI Service, you'll be designing and providing technical oversight of the development of Secure, Privacy preserving AI solution and related Intel AI software. You will be hands-on in the build out of the technology and support the rollout with key definitional partners.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides software structure and validation direction as required to enable Intel AI software solutions that integrate AI algorithms to solve applied problems in various disciplines (e.g., data analytics, computer vision) by utilizing current programming methodologies to translate machine learning models and data-processing methods into software.

  • Responsible for pathfinding and providing technical direction for AI software development to solve applied problems across disciplines, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and/or prescriptive models.

  • Interacts with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

As a technical lead, you are recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. You will develop and mentor other technical leaders, grow the community, act as a change agent, and role models Intel values. You will align organizational goals with technical vision, formulate technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrate a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a relevant Science/Engineering discipline and 9+ years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant Science/Engineering discipline and 6+ years of experience in:

  • Python and/or C++.

  • Deep learning libraries such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, Caffe, etc.

  • Contributing to and maintaining open-source software projects Hands-on developer who can contribute across the stack. This includes: AI algorithms, software development and cloud services.

  • Demonstrated ability to architect scalable and developer-friendly solutions targeted at machine learning developers.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new areas in machine learning and privacy preserving ML.

  • Prior experience as technical lead and serving as a mentor for junior AI engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare and/or financial services industry and working with those customers.

  • Experience developing scalable and usable SaaS solutions.

  • Developing cloud security solutions using trusted execution environments.

  • Creating solutions that focus on great developer experience.

  • Experience with containers (Docker, Podman, K8s, etc.)

  • Research experience in deep learning, machine learning, graph analytics, numerical analysis.

  • Experience with Federated Learning.

  • Experience working in geographically distributed engineering teams.

  • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $203,833.00-$325,999.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
