Cedar Fair Resorts Area Manager in SANDUSKY, Ohio

Overview:

As the Area Manager you will have an intricate role in the overall success of Cedar Point Resorts. You will serve as the resorts Manager on Duty in the absence of the resort properties’ management teams, ensuring that exceptional customer service is provided to our internal and external guests while upholding cleanliness, maintenance, and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the resorts and campground operations in the absence of the Hotel Managers.

  • Create daily reports for resort leadership team with a summary of activities and guest interactions during the shift.

  • Utilizes strategic resolutions for guest concerns/complaints to meet or exceed their expectation.

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of procedures and policies within the resorts.

  • Evaluates business trends and makes staffing adjustments ensuring property labor levels are appropriate.

  • Performs audit and inspection of guest rooms, public space, and back of the house areas ensuring safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards are compliant.

  • Assists in training and development in all areas of the resort operation.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to train and motivate associates.

  • Previous supervisor or management experience.

  • Must be able to manage a great deal of stress and pressure while potentially working long hours

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

  • Must have knowledge of basic computer programs including word, outlook, excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy. Unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
