We are seeking a professional like you to schedule day-to-day maintenance activities (BASF direct and nested contractors) through the means of developing a weekly schedule. This includes working with the operations liaison (Gate Keeper), ensuring work is appropriately scheduled to achieve maximum effectiveness of resources and equipment. You will be responsible for leading schedule and execution meetings on a daily basis and be required to gather necessary update information to make these meetings productive and beneficial. You will communicate regularly across all departments on job status and help to resolve logistic issues. You will work daily with Maintenance Coordinators, Operations Coordinators, Maintenance Supervisors, and the Gate Keeper to manage work priorities and ensure expectations are clearly communicated. Your ability to manage a budget by making risk-based decisions and managing overtime will be key to this role. Additionally, an understanding of best practices for maintenance processes, including but not limited to Risk Based assessment, Total Productive Maintenance, and Reliability Based Inspections is an important technical competency for this position.

As a Scheduler/Planner, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Developing a weekly resource, multiple-craft schedule for Daily Maintenance Crafts to optimize resource utilization.

  • Altering the schedule to manage emergency work that arises.

  • Monitoring daily site status and addressing emergency or critical priority jobs.

  • Updating the weekly schedule daily to reflect completed jobs or job extensions.

  • Maintaining compliance with Planning and Scheduling KPIs.

  • Providing input into staffing changes/modifications based on historical trends and forecasts.

  • Providing support and training to maintenance planners and schedulers.

  • Participating in cross-functional groups and special assignments.

  • Working extended hours or irregular shifts during non-routine site activities.

  • Leading meetings and communicating job statuses to stakeholders.

  • Utilizing scheduling tools and CMMS for planning and reporting.

  • Developing new Job Plans when necessary.

  • Providing feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.

If you have...

  • Education and experience in the petrochemical industry

  • Proficiency in P6 or similar scheduling tool for small outages

  • Proficiency in SAP or other CMMS for planning

  • General computer skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Willingness to work extended hours or irregular shifts during nonroutine site activities
