Job Summary
The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) is comprised of global Corporate Services functions that support JPMorgan Chase's businesses and employees across 60 countries, including Supplier Services, Real Estate, Security, Amenity Services, Document and Business Services, and Corporate Insurance. The CAO Product & Portfolio Management team oversees the CAO's product & project management governance, supporting the organization through scoping, prioritizing, and executing on the key initiatives tied to their strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Working with senior stakeholders in the function(s) to ensure well-managed delivery of their initiatives by monitoring execution against scope, budget, and schedule
Helping the function(s) tell the right story - steering creation of compelling business cases supported by financial & operational metrics, pressure testing project plans & milestones, proactively problem solving project roadblocks and effectively communicating / framing project status
Supporting the function(s) in identifying, transparently reporting, and managing delivery risks (e.g., resourcing, timelines, dependencies, etc.)
Creating senior leadership-ready briefs & presentations that inform project funding decisions, drive actions on project risks / issues, deliberate changes to CAO portfolio governance framework, etc. at the monthly CAO Project Council
Contributing to the design and execution of CAO portfolio reporting and metrics that provide leadership with meaningful insights and recommended actions
Enabling development & growth of the function's project managers; providing training and coaching, as well as understanding and addressing their feedback. Developing and delivering engaging content on project management best practices at the CAO's monthly Project Manager forum
Driving results with operational excellence - attuned to the big picture and connected to the overall CAO agenda, without losing sight of the details
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Exceptional problem solving both at the tactical and more strategic level
Strong presentation and communications skills, experience building decks for senior executives
Ability to assess and make necessary tradeoffs to mitigate risks while continuing to deliver on key projects and initiatives
Strong facilitation, negotiation, and mediation skills; ability to drive to consensus/decisions in working groups
Self-starter that can work autonomously and can take initiative; highly motivated
Strong judgment and critical thinking skills; ability to ground proposals with data and facts
Ability to build strong relationships and earn the trust and confidence of Functions
Ability to take a macro-level view of the CAO while taking a pragmatic and action-oriented approach that is geared towards execution and delivery
Bachelor's degree required and PMP certification (or equivalent project management training) preferred
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
5+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably through a combination of Project Management and /or Strategy roles
Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals
Proven ability to execute and drive results under tight timelines, with a demonstrated track record of project delivery
Track record developing collaborative relationships with technology and business partners, fostering partnerships quickly and being a thought leader
Very strong organizational skills, including planning, time management, coordinating resources and meeting deadlines
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to rally a working group around solutions
