Robert Half currently has a vacancy for a permanent Senior Accounting Analyst to bring their leadership skills and experience to a growing finance team in the Pittsfield, Massachusetts area. As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will be required to assist with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance. Your responsibilities

• Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

• Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

Requirements

• Month end closings experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of fixed assets

• GAAP Accounting experience highly desired

• General familiarity with revenue recognition

• Knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation

• Adeptness in accruals

• Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued but not required

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• 3-5+ years of overall general accounting experience

• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

• Able to manage time well

• Comfortable working in various systems

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA credentials are a plus
