SSM Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our Team! We are pleased to offer a $3,000 Sign on Bonus to eligible candidates*

This position is a full-time, 36-hours per week role. This position is night shift, working 3, 12-hour shifts a week (7pm-7am) at St. Anthony Hospital. This position requires you to be able to pass a DHS Background Check and Fingerprinting. There is a requirement to be aged 21 or older for this role per DHS as you would be working with Adolescents.

Job Summary:

Provides direct behavioral health patient care by performing a variety of activities for patients.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.

  • Provides or assists with providing direct patient care and therapeutic interventions based on patient care assignments from RN.

  • Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.

  • Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.

  • Applies knowledge of group dynamics in participating in therapeutic groups and maintaining the milieu.

  • Monitors patients to ensure safety, including but not limited to rounding, environmental and safety checks.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Associate's degree in the behavioral health field, or equivalent years of experience and education
