Position Description

RSI is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Director to support our corporate office in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This senior-level position creates, organizes, and implements strategies and business programs, and oversees the project management process including governance, team leadership, tracking and monitoring, prioritization, communication, and quality control.

The ideal candidate has experience in leading strategic planning and project governance as well as defining and implementing project management methodologies. Candidates must have a proven track record of successful project delivery, the ability to improve project management practices, and substantial team leadership experience with a focus on project execution and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the PMO and establish it as a Center of Excellence in alignment with Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, quality standards, and company requirements.

  • Develop implementation efficiencies to meet or exceed financial expectations established at project initiation.

  • Develop, implement, and govern project management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics.

  • Monitor compliance with established policies and standards.

  • Perform project analysis and support project managers in project planning, schedule and cost management, earned value management, change control, and problem identification and resolution.

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience required

  • PMP or PgMP highly desired

  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience using Primavera P6, Cobra, and similar earned value management systems is required, preferably on federal environmental or construction projects

  • Expert‐level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, and processes (e.g., Project Portfolio Management [PPM] methodology)

  • Experience managing project budgets, cost, and profitability

  • Knowledge of resource management tools

  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to establish and manage a high‐performing team

  • Motivated to build relationships and establish processes at the leadership level

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail is required
