About the role

As a Finance Business Partner for our Emerging Businesses , you will play a pivotal role in the financial success of our expanding ventures, including our courier delivery business , B2B, and future initiatives. With a focus on strategic collaboration and operational excellence, you will leverage your expertise in financial analysis and process optimization to empower business leaders, fuel scalable growth, and ensure the sustainable expansion of Wonder .

  • S trategic Business Partner: Serve as a primary financial advisor and strategic partner to the Heads of Emerging Businesses providing financial insights to drive operational efficiency, revenue growth, and profitability.

  • Operational Finance Expertise: Utilize a strong background in strategic and operational finance, particularly within the food tech or food delivery sector, to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization, leveraging financial data to drive sustainable business growth.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively across departments and business units to align financial strategies with operational objectives , fostering communication and synergy to achieve shared goals and objectives .

  • Ownership of P&Ls and KPIs: Take ownership of P&Ls and associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various business units, providing insights into business-line profitability, pricing and fee structures, customer retention, churn, and other key metrics.

  • Insightful Analysis: Drive insightful analysis of emerging business financial performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration with FP&A Team: Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to provide input and insights for the forecasting and budgeting process, ensuring alignment between operational plans and overall corporate financial objective s .

The experience you have

The ideal candidate for the Associate Director of Finance Business Partner position at Wonder possesses a robust background in strategic and operational finance, particularly within the food tech or food delivery sector. They exhibit strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and a proven track record of driving process improvements and maximizing profitability across new business units.

  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements through the use of financial analysis and insights.

  • Strong understanding of P&L management and associated KPIs, with the ability to drive profitability and efficiency improvements.

  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with teams across different departments and business units.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization .

Benefits

Base Salary: $183,750
