Current Opportunity We are looking for a Global MET Engineer with elastomer molding experience to expertly develop, optimize and standardize global equipment and processes

Main activities Development and refinement of manufacturing processes by completing detailed engineering analysis of Individual product design for manufacturability Global machine utilization and capacity planning Tool design and optimization Process labor planning & line balance Machine process parameter optimization and standardization Ergonomic analysis Visual management Process failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA) Production equipment & tooling specification, purchase and acceptance Validation of manufacturing process to meet labor targets, production output, safety, and quality standards Manage new process development projects and coordinate activities with Product Design/Development/Applications Engineering teams & Plant Manufacturing Engineering teams. Develop machine "Statement of Requirement" (SOR) for new and advanced manufacturing process technologies to be launched Develop validation plans for new and existing manufacturing processes supporting specifications, prints & quality requirements. Continuous improvement to machine, tool, and process standards Support manufacturing with launch, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. Support and adhere to Tenneco EH&S policies and procedures Support TS16949, APQP and other applicable procedures and policies

What we are looking for Bachelor's Degree in technical field (Mechanical engineering preferred) Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience Experience in automotive tier 1 manufacturing is preferred. Available to travel 30-50%

Experience required for the job Elastomer molding process expertise PFMEA development and working knowledge of error proofing methodologies Equipment specification, ordering, run-off, installation and qualification Knowledge of GD&T to verify manufacturing feasibility Capital equipment budget planning and tracking Strong computer skills Knowledge of state & federal regulated safety standards (OSHA or equivalent) Analytical problem solving Statistical process control and statistical problem solving experience Project management - plan development and execution
