Role Description

BUSINESS ANALYST sought by SMBC Manubank in Los Angeles, CA.

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for supporting Manufacturers Bank’s Program Management and Planning office in overall program management activities. Drive business meetings and identify business challenges, desired capabilities/outcomes and requirements. Duties involve coordinating program activities; ensuring consistent structures inside the program and its work streams; and working closely with internal and external partners, ensuring collaboration across teams. Specific duties include: 1) Identify and document gaps in procedures and create solutions for scalable and repeatable processes. 2) Protect scope, identify and mitigate risk, ensuring success of critical and complex technology projects. 3) Track project milestones, report and update progress and performance against the project plan. 4) Provide support to resource and capacity planning, in close alignment with the leads and team. 5) Responsible for professional project management office support. 6) Ensure delivery of regular status reporting provided by work package leads. 7) Organize and facilitate professional meetings and workshops, its documentation and minutes. 8) Ensure qualitative onboarding and document provisioning. 9) Lead the roll-out and adoption of all PMO (Project Management Office) processes with all involved internal and external parties. 10) Provide support to reporting processes, efficient tracking of progress status of the work streams. 11) Provide support to management team in the creation of high-quality presentations for C-Level. 12) Ensure smooth tool system access and documentation management processes and maintenance. 13) Provide support to setup and maintenance of qualitative Project Controlling processes and ensure budget tracking. 14) Provide support to stakeholder management with diverse external parties, connecting and engaging stakeholders. 15) Recognize and resolve operational issues and minimize delays in the delivery of program objectives. 16) Lead continuous PMO quality improvements by active exchange with team members. Telecommuting permitted from any location in the U.S.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology or related field, plus one (1) year of experience in banking or finance.

  • Specific skills: Position also requires education or experience in the following: 1) Experience in business analysis and project management; 2) Knowledge of business process optimization or transformation; 3) Experience in change or stakeholder management; 4) Experience in data analysis and data modeling; 5) Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; and 6) Knowledge of risk assessment and management principles to identify, monitor and mitigate potential risks

Telecommuting permitted from any location in the U.S.

The salary for this position is $83,970 per year.
