LOCATION: Land O' Lakes, Florida

JOB TITLE : School Nurse LPN Clinic

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

• Hours/ Schedule : Mon – Fri: 7am – 3pm OR 8am – 4pm ( Depends on School Site)

• Start Date: 8/12/2024

• Setting: School Clinic or Classroom

• Duration: Full School Year

Experience Desired

Pediatric experience strongly preferred. LPNs with acute care experience. G-Tubes, Trach suctioning, seizure maintenance, catheter care etc. Nurse would be working with 2 other LPNs and 1 RN to cover medically fragile classrooms within a school. Nurses would work together to meet the needs of various complex students. School is looking for nurse who can work well within a team and also work autonomously as needed.

Duties

• G-Tube feedings and care

• Trach suctioning (as needed)

• Seizure Monitoring

• Catheter Care

• ADLs

  Charting

  Nurses would use MaxCapture for Medicaid documentation. School also uses their own health system for medications, events, etc.
