Your Opportunity

The Civil Lead Engineer (LE) position serves as an assistant to the RE under a Design/Build delivery Contract and is responsible for spearheading the resolution of technical and coordination matters.

Your Key Responsibilities

• The Civil LE coordinates Civil Engineering discipline tasks with the technical representatives and other discipline Leads on the project team as well as third-party stakeholders.

• The Civil LE works with the Project/Contract Manager to verify that the Design processes are structured to ensure that activities are in compliance with contract documents, governmental regulations, environmental and cultural commitments and safety standards.

• The Civil LE leads the oversight efforts of the project team’s Civil Engineering discipline tasks for project interface and integration.

• The Civil LE coordinates with the Office Engineer to ensure that the proper client representative has the opportunity to review and comment on changes that may have a Safety or Certification component.

• Assisting the Changes and Claims Engineer with monitoring and facilitating the change process is a critical component of the Lead Engineer's responsibility to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule.

• Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams.

• Must be committed to zero safety incidents

• Must have a good driving record and valid Driver's License

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field. Must have a California PE. Must have 10 years of experience on transit projects.

Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.

Salary Range(s):

• CA Other Areas $137,500 - CA Other Areas $206,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
