Responsibilities A Facilities Technician is a service employee who, under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, performs maintenance tasks that may be indicated and necessary for maintaining Hospital facilities and physical plant in optimum condition for functionality, safety and efficiency. This is accomplished by repairing, installing, maintaining and testing equipment, plumbing, piping, electrical components and fixtures, appliances, etc., and by operating all machinery and equipment in the Hospital Boiler Room and other machinery spaces. The compensation range for the role is $21.73-$22.38 hourly Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Minimum Experience: 4 years’ related experience. Required Certification/Registration: Valid NYS Driver’s License Physical Requirements: Physical demands are representative of those that must be met to perform essential job functions: Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, climb, taste smell, etc. Must have ability to lift and /or move up to 100 lbs. Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 100 lbs. Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
