Pro Shop Attendant

WAGE: $12.00 + TIPS HOURS: PART-TIME SEASONAL POSITION(S); MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHIFTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

  • Maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures for the golf shop.
  • Assist customers with tee time reservations.
  • Collect applicable fees from all golfers when registering for play.
  • Assist customers with merchandise sales and questions.
  • Assist with the golf shop inventory procedures.
  • Assist with the stocking, displaying and pricing of merchandise.
  • Assist with the training and supervising of the outside golf staff (Cart Attendants and Rangers/Starters).
  • Assist with the organizing and conducting of golf tournament/outings.
  • Assist with the general cleaning of the golf shop.
  • Will be cross-trained to perform all other functions of golf course.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Window based computer experience. Must have previous customer service experience and money handling experience. Golf experience preferred. Knowledge: Knowledge of departmental operations and casino policies and procedures. Skills and Abilities: Must have well-developed skills. Must have careful and deliberate decision making skills, be detailed oriented, and communicate both verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and handle high stress situations as they present themselves. Must have good customer service skills and work well with the public. Must have the ability to prioritize and be self-motivated.

*TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: *Point of sale, 2 way radio, computer, printer, adding machine, golf cart, and telephone/paging system.

  • Stand/walk for 4-8 hours of an 8-hour shift. Sit for 4-6 hours of an 8-hour shift.
  • Lift and carry 1O lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, and rotate as needed during an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to work under varying weather conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is generally quiet. May be exposed from time to time to inclement weather, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and misdirected golf balls. Work hours will include weekdays, weekends and holidays.
