BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of Customer Service Rep provides quality customer service to new and existing customers that meet or exceed customer expectations

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to customer request for quotes and enter into computer system.

  • Review contract requirements requests and consult with QC and Purchasing for special considerations

  • Obtain price and delivery information from vendors

  • Communicate with customers to resolve problems and issues

  • Review pick lists

  • Enter quotes

  • Enter Request for Quotes (RFQs)

  • Review customer confirming purchase orders

  • Enter orders and review for accuracy

  • Issue Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs)

  • Follow Quality standards as according to our Quality Manual

  • Participate in team meetings as required.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; or 2 years sales experience required.

  • Fastener industry preferred.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
