Actalent Design Release Engineer in Farmington Hills, Michigan
Description:
Reporting to Engineering Manager, the Design Release Engineer- Wire Harness will be responsible for definition of requirements, design, analysis, development and control of wiring harness. DRE is often the integration hub development teams, sitting at the cross between development, product management, quality assurance and other engineering efforts.
This candidate will be responsible for:
- Client and OEM paperwork and release of the designs of assigned harness ( depending on capability will likely be given one customers harness of lighter complexity and take on multiple as they onboard)
-Managing harness from start to finish (source to launch)
Root cause analysis
Developing and implementing engineering and design changes
Supporting manufacturing plants (local and in Canada) with build and launch
Issue management with CAD, Manufacturing, EE , AE and GPM (global program manager)
Issue tracking with OEM
Produce and use DVRP
Using engineering "toolbox" to problem solve (fishbone, red X)
Contribute VAVE (value analysis value engineering) ideas
