Jennie Joiner with Robert Half is offering an opportunity for an Inventory Accountant in the transport industry, located in EUGENE, Oregon. You will be part of a team that handles key accounting responsibilities for their heavy equipment inventory. In this role, you will process vendor invoices for purchases made of machine inventory, post the appropriate entries into the general ledger and data entering information into the system. A high level of 10-key skill is required for this position as well as intermediate Excel. Must have strong attention to detail and know the difference between debits and credits to be considered for this opportunity. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices for the purchase of machine inventories and related sales documents

• Post appropriate entries into the general ledger based on processed invoices

• Understand and respond to requests from operating departments

• Learn and utilize cost accounting functions within each subsidiary

• Ask meaningful questions of the operating departments to obtain needed details and problem solve unique scenarios/transactions

• Utilize your skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Payable Invoices, and 10 Key Skills

• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations

• Handle a high volume of transactions and multi-task effectively

• Work both as a team and independently.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Experience in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing processes and procedures

• Demonstrable skills in data entry with high degree of accuracy

• Experience in invoice processing and management of payable invoices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Possession of 10 key skills for efficient data entry

• Relevant experience in the transport industry is preferred

• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and regulations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
