Job Description

A large telecommunications client headquartered in Stamford CT is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level FinOps Analyst to join their growing Data Platforms team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance operations (FinOps) with expertise in data analysis, visualization using Tableau, SQL, and data interaction. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, optimizing financial processes, and developing insightful visualizations to aid decision-making. This position will largely work in month long "sprint intervals". A large part of this job is early part of the month will be standard reporting, measuring what data analysis the team has already completed, the next 40% of the role is more ad hoc analysis or improving client analysis / adding features, and finally the last 20-30% of this job will be documentation, working with stakeholders, and understanding and making recommendations around how to improve the different systems / analysis. The nature of the data this team works with is almost exclusively data around AWS cost and usage for both internal and external users.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience in finance operations or financial analysis roles.

3+ years of experience in data analysis

Proficiency in Tableau for developing interactive dashboards and visualizations

Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries and performance optimization,

Analytical ability to take a business problem and convert it to SQL or Python 1+ years of experience in a FInOps specific environment

Experience with data manipulation tools and techniques (e.g., Python, R, Pandas) null
