Agiliti Health Strategic Sourcing Specialist in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Strategic Sourcing Specialist reports to the Sourcing Manager and is responsible for end-to-end procurement of products and services essential to operations, inclusive of executing cost saving opportunities, develop strong supplier relationships through detailed spend analysis, strategic contract negotiation and management of seamless availability of all products to support operational objectives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for strategic supplier relationships and contract negotiations with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), third party distribution suppliers and/or service partners.

  • Analyze data and market trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and identify emerging opportunities.

  • Establish purchasing policies to ensure compliance within the operations organization.

  • Evaluate supplier competencies and performance ratings with cross-functional stakeholders: Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Field Operations and Quality.

  • Ability to develop reports and analyze data to make necessary business decisions and hold suppliers accountable to contract commitments.

  • Lead semi-annual business reviews with strategic suppliers.

  • Manage excess and obsolescence inventory in alignment to equipment life cycle management.

  • Negotiate quality issues with suppliers and cross functional stakeholders: Quality, Legal, and Field Operations teams.

  • Partner with logistics teams to provide purchase order ETAs from suppliers including other shipment and/or back order details.

  • Support new and/or alternate source requests and facilitate through necessary approval process as needed.

  • Provide supplier forecasts for future demand to remain compliance with supplier lead-times.

  • Support accounts payable invoice exceptions.

  • Promote continuous improvement of productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the organization as assigned.

  • Provide team back up support including cross functional teams as needed.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Facilitate field operation access to supplier portals for PM and Repair authorization

  • Setup Training Sessions between Agiliti Subject Matter Experts and Supplier Training Teams.

  • Maintain catalog of accessible capital equipment, repair parts, and services for stakeholder reference.

  • Work closely with district offices across the country including corporate staff to resolve operational issues.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 3+ years previous logistics, purchasing, supply chain or capital sales experience

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum Travel Requirements: 10%

  • Prominent level of financial and business/operations acumen

  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills including superior customer service abilities

  • High degree of initiative, independent judgment and professionalism.

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Advanced skills within Microsoft Suite of Applications

  • Ability to lead through system/application requirement gathering, process design, implementation and stabilization.

  • Ability to lead through change

  • Understanding of project management and methodologies
