Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.

Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, collaborating with various departments to gather relevant data.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations.

Assist with audits, both internal and external, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CPA or working towards CPA certification is a plus.
