Aquatic Attendant

JOB TITLE: Aquatic Attendant CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt - Part Time DEPARTMENT: CRE/Aquatics SUPERVISOR: Aquatics Manager

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, will perform duties such as safety enforcement, greeting patrons, and janitorial services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enforce facility rules to ensure a safe environment. Duty stations include slide area, door greeting, and spray park and boat rentals.
• Assist with Learn to Swim Lessons. Wearing the appropriate swimsuit and entering the pool is required.
• Check pool deck area for hazards by completing pool safety checklist and reporting/documenting any/all unsafe conditions found.
• Pick up and dispose of all trash on/or around the pool deck and on facility grounds, straighten all deck furniture as needed.
• Return any lost and found equipment or items to the front desk personnel.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- - Basic Aquatic facility structure. - English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. - Work independently in the absence of supervision. - Respond to requests and inquiries from the public. - Understand and carry out oral and written directions. - Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. - [Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:]{calibri="" light",sans-serif"=""} - Swimming requirements to maintain ability to assist with Learn to Swim Lessons. - General lifting of no more than 50 pounds with assistance of other employees. - Ability to climb stairs and ladders to elevated guard chairs.
