  • 2+ year of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered

    Additional Qualifications and Skills: The following job-specific skills and competencies are preferred:

  • Bachelor's strongly preferred; Master's degree in a public health or medical science discipline is a strong plus

  • Experience in in research; in higher education is a strong plus

  • Experience in both research and administrative support

  • Experience using Microsoft Office; especially PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with survey building software REDCAP

  • Familiarity with IRB process and reporting

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work; comfortability in navigating ambiguity

  • Remains organized and detail-oriented while efficiently completing deliverables

  • Takes initiative & asks questions

  • Collaborative team player

Department:Environmental Health - Environmental & Occupational Medicine & Epidemiology ProgramPre-Employment Screening:Identity Job Function:Research Position Description: This role will be expected to communicate clearly and concisely with all members of the Apple Women's Health Study team.

Duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Administrative Support to the Study (50% effort allocation):

  • Day to day assistance to the PI and co-investigators on administrative matters

  • Facilitate workflow of projects

  • Coordinate sponsored reports and prepare materials for proposals

  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders

  • Set agendas for meetings to facilitate communication and keep the meeting on track

  • Track and report expenses

  • Coordinate new hire processes

  • Maintain electronic and paper files

  • Provide audiovisual support

  • Schedule and coordinate seminar series

  • Schedule conference rooms

  • May manage PI calendars

  • Order office and lab supplies

  • Coordinate and prepare travel itineraries

    Research Assistant Tasks (50% effort allocation):

  • Conduct literature reviews

  • Research survey design and maintenance

  • Prepare manuscript submissions

  • Overall, performs other duties as assigned

    Our team presents our group work and individual updates through PowerPoint slides. Familiarity and comfort with regularly putting together a slide show is important!

Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University, is seeking a full time Research Project Assistant (RPA) to work on a digital women's health study, the Apple Women’s Health Study (https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/applewomenshealthstudy/).

    Reporting to the Study Manager, the RPA will work as part of a large inter-disciplinary team and will provide administrative and study related tasks. The multi-disciplinary team works closely together as they develop the study methodology and study outputs.
