Sanofi is recruiting a new Global medical Director to support post- regulatory authorization clinical trial program for dupilumab in the Global respiratory Franchise for the respiratory indications including asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) for dupilumab and itep. The Medical Director/Director will report directly to Medical Evidence Generation Lead, respiratory and will be responsible for phase IV studies (clinical and RWE) and other Life Cycle Management activities.

With guidance from the Medical Evidence Generation lead, the new leader will be an integral part of assisting in building the Global Medical strategy in line with the brand strategy supporting development and preparation for the post- launch of dupilumab for asthma and COPD indications in partnership with Regeneron. The exceptional new hire will either have strong content area expertise in Clinical Trial design with a working knowledge and background in R&D or Medical. Expertise in Respiratory or the immune-inflammation space is desirable

A summary of responsibilities include:

• Support and execute on the Global Medical strategy and Life cycle plan for Dupilumab indications including Asthma and COPD.

• Design study synopses based on the Integrated evidence generation plan.

• Maintain strong knowledge in asthma and COPD to optimize clinical study protocols development and execution.

• Maintain strong relationships with experts in the respiratory field, academics and professionals and/or patient associations.

• Support advisory boards or roundtables for clinical trials phase IV in asthma and COPD and gain strategic insights for medical, scientific, and development strategy.

• Ensure a patient-centric approach to development of clinical studies under her/his supervision

• Collaborate with the Alliance to execute the clinical studies under her/his responsibility in alignment with the Brand plan and Global Medical Plan

• Travel required, comprising approximately 20%.

Basic Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in science required, MD/PhD or Pharm D preferred.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry R&D or Medical

• Prior experience in Clinical trials, including understanding of trial methodology, design, management and execution.

• Suitable prior experience in a Global or at least Regional medical or clinical development role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Regional, Global experience highly advantageous.

• Experience in Medical with Biologics (Respiratory) highly advantageous

• Scientific communication and presentation skills with the ability to present scientific data in a credible manner. Able to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of internal and external academicians, in the scientific/medical arena.

• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotech clinical research
