Job Description Summary

Administer timely and accurate policy endorsement processes consistent with compliance and performance standards. Support underwriter with all endorsement requests to ensure compliance with carrier and company guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Assist underwriting with meeting or exceeding production goals as assigned.

  2. Analyze change requests, general service inquiries and endorsements.

  3. Underwrite products and services to clients.

  4. Approve and disprove endorsements within binding authority to jurisdictional compliance documentation standards and ensure all documentation is completed.

  5. Conduct ratings as necessary to ensure endorsement information is accurate.

  6. Process policy servicing requests including but not limited to Endorsements, Audits, Company Requests, Certificates.

  7. Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with company's policies and procedures and take appropriate action for correction when necessary.

  8. Apply information from the Endorsement Supervisor/Manager to ensure necessary changes for compliance purposes.

  9. Develop and maintain client, carrier and agent relationships.

  10. Assist supervisor/manager with modifications to workflow to increase efficiency and accuracy of the endorsement department.

  11. Proof policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. and make corrections as appropriate.

  12. Maintain suspense system and follow up when necessary to obtain all required endorsement correspondence.

  13. Review inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented at the time of binding and take appropriate or needed actions as directed by your Team Lead/Supervisor/Manager or Underwriter.

  14. Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.

  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Appropriate insurance experience

  2. Three years of insurance experience or its equivalent

  3. Current state specific license

  4. Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies

  5. Must have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating

  6. Must have ability to use company automation

  7. Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with clients

  8. Ability to work in a team environment essential

  9. Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry

  10. Good written and verbal skills

  11. Ability to work extended hours when necessary
