GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Assist Media and Academic Technologies Services (MATS) staff with various department tasks, generally 10-15 hours/week (up to 19 hours on occasion)

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are typical responsibilities associated with this position. The specific responsibilities may vary and will be assigned accordingly by the supervisor.

  • Transporting, setting up, storing, organizing, AV hardware

  • Assembling/disassembling, organizing, and moving AV storage cabinets and racks (on wheels)

  • Clerical tasks, such as inventory, answering the phone and taking messages

  • Assisting walk-in staff and faculty with MATS questions and needs

  • Respond to classrooms and meeting rooms for technology help calls, along with Information Technology Services staff

    Job Requirements:

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Effective working individually as a part of a team. Effective verbal and written communication. Effective time management. AV, computers/technology knowledge, skills, and experience desired but not required

  • Microsoft 365 apps

Equipment Used:

Phone, Computer

Physical Demands:

Lifting - some technology equipment may be heavy. We always provide carts or human assistance to move any equipment as worker safety is responsibility number one

Additional Information:

Position will start Fall 2024 semester.

Work Schedule / Availability: Fall 2024-Spring 2025--prefer applicants that plan to stay in this position the entire academic year. 10-15 hours/week (up to 19 hours on occasion) within the department's Monday-Friday, 8 am-4 pm schedule. Days are flexible to accommodate student's school and school work schedule. Student success in classes is priority one.
