ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.

POSITION SUMMARY Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul vehicles and machinery, such as Ford F-series vehicles, trailers, small tools, Peterbilt trucks, and other heavy equipment in the shop.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Record details of repairs made, and parts used. Reassemble vehicles and equipment following repair, testing operation, and making adjustments as necessary. Maintain, repair, and overhaul heavy machinery and vehicles, such as pickup trucks, semi-tractors, dirt loaders, small tools, and trailers. Examine and listen to vehicles, read inspection reports, and confer with operators to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Dismantle defective vehicles for repair, using personal hand tools. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. Clean and lubricate parts. Tune or overhaul engines. Fabricate new metal parts, using plasma cutter, welder, and other general shop tools. Use an android tablet and or laptop to make a record of repairs made, labor time, and parts used. Diagnose, repair, or replace vehicle systems and or components.
