Scheuch USA, Inc. seeks an Application Engineer for Auburn, IN.

Responsibilities: The Application Engineer will be responsible for being an expert in the companys high-end pollution and emissions control equipment and filtrations products and applications across end-markets, being mindful of cost savings and expansion into untapped markets. Perform analysis of complex mechanical engineering application needs and develop recommendations in support of customers balancing business needs. Understand the difference in the companys products versus competitors offerings and provide expert advice on the advantages of the companys products in specific applications. Conduct tooling and application testing. Prepare and present progress, status and forecasting reports of engineering projects. Maintain expert engineering knowledge on industry trends, training opportunities, and forecasts. Design and execute cost saving initiatives with customers in using the companys products and technology, in support of sales growth. Actively collaborate with internal customers such as Product Marketing, Manufacturing, and Technology to ensure information sharing and goal alignments.

Summary of Requirements: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and five years progressive experience which must include the following, concurrently: 2 years experience in Air Pollution Control Technologies 5 years experience in Application Engineering Experience in the following: Air Pollution Control Technologies Application Engineering Experience with Direct Customer Engagement AutoCad to include advanced system design work Advanced use of Excel Local travel required 1-2 times per month.

Position also requires the following: Demonstrated ability to synthesize specific and complex client needs. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of Scheuch proprietary technology and tools.
